Defend Soul Society! The Demon Invasion!

In the tranquility of the night, a patrol of shinigami walks aimlessly, watching for anything suspicious, although they never expected anything to happen. Who would be fool enough to attack the Soul Society? As they marched, one of them heard a strange sound. Signaling the others, they quietly turned the corner, entering a dark, dead end alley in the roads of the Sereitei. Creeping forwards, the shinigami were soon blown away by the opening of... A portal. This swirling, blood red portal had opened without warning, and had no visibility of the other side. Strange, demonic looking creatures began rushing out of the portal, streaming over the shinigami and killing them in seconds.


Demons. Hollows that had been sent to hell for their actions, and severely punished. These beings were unlike anything anyone had ever seen before, as no one had ever entered Hell. It seemed that the demons had found out a way to connect the two worlds, joining them together by one portal. The question was... Who was their leader? As the Demons began rampaging through the city, the alarm rang out, telling all shinigami to move to their battle stations. Pushing through the pure chaos, the Gotei attempted to retaliate, with little reward. The Demons were extremely powerful, able to level multiple shinigami with one swipe. The 3rd division captain, who was the first to arrive on the scene, took it upon himself to lead the troops against this powerful army. He would make sure the other captain's had a clear shot to the leader.

In the midst of the smoke and haze appeared one, singular figure standing atop one of the highest buildings. Hiding behind him were two other, more mangled shadows. His ominousness was frightening, but it appeared as if he was the Demon leader. It was the Captains' duty to defeat this man, dead or alive.

Main objective: Defeat the man, dead or alive. He is extremely powerful and will require the combined strength of many.
Side objective: The two shadows behind him seem to be his right hand men. A few of the original squad must break off to distract and destroy them. (Preferably all VC's.)

Chaos broke out in the Sereitei. Looking up from his perch in a tree, the Vice Captain of the 6th Division watched as friends and comrades were ripped to shreds right in front of him. One demon seemed to be locked in a fierce battle with a woman with auburn hair. One look and the man knew who it was: Lily, a girl Daniru had been in the Academy with. Launching himself off the tree, he fizzed away in flash step, trying to reach the girl.

"Lily!!!!"

He yelled as he flew foreword, but the demon seemed to be able to see his movements. It laughed and stuck its hand right through the girl's stomache and disappeared. All of this happened in the split second it took for Daniru to reach the two fighters. He held the during girl in his arms, crying lightly. The girl mumbled a few words.

Daniru? Is...that you?

"I'm here..I'll save you.."

The girl chuckled lightly and touched the man's chest.

Don't...bother..just...kill that bitch

And then she was gone. Wiping tears from his eyes, Daniru gripped his weapon and ran toward Keitaro.

"Let me at em."

His spiritual pressure was out of control right now, white reiatsu with flickering black tips permeating his body.

As chaos erupted across the Sereitei, Hitomi Murashigure watched, anger reflected in her crimson eyes, as dozens of innocent people were stabbed with demonic claws.

She was furious; furious with the demons that had invaded the Soul Society, and they were trying to bring down the Gotei's honour.

Hitomi would not stand for it. Her silvery armor gleamed in the sunlight as tears of anger welled up in the vice-captain's eyes. She swiped them away, her long, raven-black hair blowing in the wind that had resulted from this terrible war.

"Taichou.....," the Sanbantai fukutaichou murmered. She glanced around.

She spotted Daniru, the Rokubantai's vice-captain.

"...shall the massacre begin?" she finished, her right hand reaching for her black-hilted katana, which housed her Zanpakutou, Kurenaiboshi.

The 6th's Vice Captain wiped away the few tears that remained on his face and adjusted the badge tied around his neck. His hand, too, went to the sheathe on his back. With a quick flick and grinding metal sound, Daniru drew his red and black katana from the diagonal sheathe.

"Yes...let us begin...."

Turning to the girl, the cloaked man spoke again, dropping his hood to reveal his glistening green eyes.

"Hitomi, let's tag team these basturds..."

He now held his sword out to the right side of his body, in that hand as well, prepared to release Shikai on the demon spawn.

Keitaro:

In the midst of the chaos and destruction, Keitaro battled valiantly, hacking down many demons and leading the way for the troops. In the middle of his fight, Daniru approached him. With one final slash to the chest, the demon he had been fighting with fell to the ground, blood pouring out onto the street. Turning to Daniru, it would be apparent he was becoming tired. Sweat dripped down his brow and he had already been forced into shikai.

"What are you doing here? Can't you feel that enormous reiatsu? I'm doing this so you guys can make your way to it. It has to be their leader. Go now, do not waste any more time." He commanded sternly, although he had to take moments to breathe in between his command. Returning his attention to the fight at hand, a grin appeared on his face.

"Is that all you got!" He laughed, dashing right back into the crowd, soon disappearing from sight.

Demons:

The shadow figure stood atop his perch, watching the battle below him with glistening eyes.

"This sure is a spectacle. Don't you agree?" He asked without moving his gaze, finding a sick sense of joy in all this.

"Yes master, it is very pleasent." One of the men standing behind him replied with a nod.

"Indeed, I enjoy this very much master." The other said, a tiny smirk creeping into the corner of his mouth.

Hitomi turned, her raven-black hair blowing across her eyes, towards Daniru, her crimson eyes meeting his glittering green ones.

"Right," she said.

She then looked at her captain as he spoke his commands. As he said something about enormous reiatsu, the Vice-Captain could feel it. It felt ominous, and it could crush anyone who was a recruit, or under.

"Yes, sir," she obeyed. "Let's go, Daniru."

With that, she'd taken off towards the source of the reiatsu, determined to restore the Soul Society's honor.

*Kensei appeared standing on top of a large building above of the battle field. He watched as the fight roared on as endless numbers of Demons marched across the fields. Although the 12th was given orders to operate in their headquarters in attempt to find a way to seal the portal in which the Demons entered from Kensei had taken it upon himself to assist his fellow Shinigami in more than one way. He examined the field with his mind in the waves of Demons in Which no Shinigami had passed yet. Pointing his finger out several large pink spears appeared around him.*

"Hado 91 Senjū Kōten Taihō "

*The multiple spears shot out at once crashing at the designated spot destroying everything in it's ratius. A large explosion erupted as the sky turned pink and a large gust of wind blew everywhere. Upon the battle field being visible again a gigantic crater separating the Demons from the Shinigami and lowering the Demon numbers severely. Kensei looked down towards the captain commanding the troops and nodded towards him.*
